Position switch pays off for Collins and Carpinteria Football
CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Will Collins is no longer the quarterback at Carpinteria and that is fine with him.
He switched to running back and ran for 157 yards with 4 touchdowns plus he caught a touchdown as the Warriors blasted Beverly Hills 57-6.
The win came after Carpinteria was shutout 42-0 by Santa Ynez.
Collins was named Male Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table.
The Female Athlete of the Week was San Marcos volleyall play Grace Matthews who had 35 digs in a win versus Ventura.
