Peabody Stadium will not be ready when football season begins August 23

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - For the third straight season, Santa Barbara High School football will have a home away from home.

The Dons have adjusted their football schedule and will play their home games at San Marcos High School and Dos Pueblos High School as the renovations continue at Peabody Stadium.

It is close to a 40-million dollar project that began in August of 2017 and was originally planned to be done in April of this year. However rain, disasters and other issues keep pushing the finishing date back.

No official word from the school district or Santa Barbara High School but the Dons football team will likely not play a home game on campus this season.
