DP says cupboard is not bare heading into 2019 football season

DP promises more ground and pound this year

GOLETA, Calif. - The names and faces change but smash-mouth football remains a staple at Dos Pueblos High School under head coach Doug Caines.

The Chargers have a talented offensive lineman to run behind Roberto Vargas who is a 300 pound senior.

DP has some experience running backs led by senior speedster Udy Loza.

The Chargers have a couple of options at quarterback but senor Albert Alvarado who started a playoff game last year figures to get the first crack at the position.

6'5 senior wide receiver Baylor Huyck is a great target in the passing game and he promises to grab anything thrown his way.

The Chargers have lost several talented players over the past few years but they feel that they will be competitive in 2019.

There is plenty of excitement at Dos Pueblos as they will play on their new turf field. They host Rio Mesa to open the year on August 23.
