Southern California Edison holds community meeting on fire safety efforts in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - Southern California Edison invited community members to a meeting on Wednesday in Ventura to talk about their efforts in preventing wildfires. 

The meeting was held at Poinsettia Pavillion on the 3400 block of Foothill Road in Ventura. 

It was held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

SoCal Edison presented community members with ways they are implementing the Wildfire Mitigation Plan. 

One of those plans include Public Safety Power Shutoff during drastic weather conditions. 

They even brought in emergency preparedness experts to educate residents on what to do during a disaster.
