Sheriff's deputies arrest man for possession of methamphetamine in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura County Sheriff's narcotic detectives arrested a man for possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of sales in Ventura on Thursday. 

After a month-long investigation, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office detained Jesse Joaquin, 39, of Oxnard in connection to selling methamphetamine and heroin to residents of Ventura County. 

Deputies stopped Joaquin around 4:45 p.m. on the 500 block of Mills Road in Ventura to execute a search warrant on his person and vehicle. 

In their search they found approximately 65 grams of methamphetamine along with a scale and paraphernalia associated with the sale of methamphetamine. 

Joaquin was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail. His bail was set at $250,000. 

He is set to appear in court Friday.
