CAMARILLO, Calif. - The annual Wings Over Camarillo Airshow will bring hundreds of spectators to the Camarillo Airport this weekend.
Visitors will be treated to flyovers and aerial tricks from unique stunt planes and military aircraft, but part of the show will feature loud pyrotechnic explosions.
Residents in Camarillo and commuters on Highway 101 may hear loud explosions that simulate bombs as part of the show. Smoke and flames will be visible during the shows starting at 1:30 p.m.
There will be four sets of simulated bombs beginning at 1:30 p.m., a single "pyrotechnic event" at 2:50 p.m., and four sets of simulated bombs and strafing at 3:45 p.m. with a final "wall of fire" at 4:10 p.m.
People in the area are told not to worry if they see smoke and flames in the area of the airport during these shows.
The Wings Over Camarillo Airshow will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Camarillo Airport beginning at noon.
