OXNARD, Calif. - Hueneme High School in Oxnard was placed on two lockdowns Wednesday after a report of a student on campus with a gun.
Oxnard Police Department responded to the school, which is located at 500 W. Bard Rd., at around 10:30 a.m.
A lockdown was conducted and officers made contact with the suspected student.
Officers remained on scene and were unable to locate a weapon which led to the lockdown being lifted.
Officers interviewed several students and a second lockdown was initiated.
The second lockdown was lifted when officers located an airsoft gun.
It's unclear who the airsoft gun belonged to or if that person will face any criminal charges or discinplinary action.
