VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura City Police closed a portion of Main Street to save a man by the Ventura River.
Crews arrived before 7:00 p.m. and blocked the entrance of the Ventura River Bridge from public access. Drivers were asked to turn around in order for emergency personnel and lifeguards to arrive.
According to Ventura City Police, a man was in an area that was impacted when water was gushing through the river. Police say the man was not in immediate danger.
