Two killed in a rollover crash in the Oxnard Plains, three others injured

CAMARILLO, Calif. - Two people were killed in a rollover crash in the Oxnard Plains area of Camarillo Thursday night, three others were injured. 

It happened just before 8:00 p.m. where Laguna road meets Las Posas road.

Two people in a Dodge Challenger were traveling eastbound on Laguna road, and failed to stop at a stop sign. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Challenger entered the intersection of the roads, and hit another car, a 2009 Honda going north on Las Posas road. 

The two people in the Honda were killed in the crash. Officials say they were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 71 year old Teruyo Washington, and 76 year old Lawrence Washington, both were from Camarillo. 

The people in the Dodge Challenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Los Robles Hospital. The driver has been identified as 23 year old Juan Llamos, and 21 year old Anthony Zaragosa, both from Oxnard. 

The name of the third injured person has not been released.

This crash happened around the same time as another fatal crash nearly six miles away near the Las Posas Country Club.

The Ventura CHP has not said if drugs or alcohol played a roll in the crash, and the cause is still under investigation.
