BUELLTON, Calif. - Thousands customers were without power in Santa Barbara County Monday afternoon, including a large part of the Santa Ynez Valley.
The power went out just after 4 p.m. and left over 13,000 customers without power initially due to three separate outages.
By 5 p.m., that number had been lowered to 11,000. Power was restored around 7:45 p.m. for some customers and the rest was restored around 10 p.m., according to the PG&E website.
The cause of the outage is not yet known, although the outage was first reported in the same general area as a fire burning north of Buellton.
Pacific Gas and Electric crews were on scene and working with the Santa Barbara County Fire department as of 6 p.m.
