Dozens of young singers auditioned under the bright lights at the Dos Pueblos High School Elings Performing Arts Center for the chance to compete in the solo-singing competition Teen Star Santa Barbara 2019.
Joe Lambert is the founder of Teen Star which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary in Santa Barbara. Past winners have achieved great success in the music industry.
"One of the testimonies is watching kids who try out year after year who don't make it and then eventually do make it," Lambert said. "What's most important is watching them come back and work harder to try and make it to the next level."
The 10 finalists will be announced online at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2.
The competition is Feb. 23rd at the Arlington Theater.
