GOLETA, Calif. - A great white shark sighting at Goleta Beach prompted a warning from lifeguards on Saturday.
The shark was spotted by multiple people on the pier around 3:30 p.m.
A witness shot video and gave it to 13-year-old Keoni Young who had been fishing with his grandma on the pier when the shark appeared.
"I've never really seen a shark that big or anything that big, except like an elephant at the zoo," Young said.
Young took the video, along with his own photos and alerted lifeguards who quickly put up warning signs and cleared the water.
The warning signs came down on Sunday afternoon.
