PISMO BEACH, Calif. - Pismo Beach is prepping to reopen a popular playground that underwent a recent renovation.
A ribbon cutting will be held on Thursday for Dinosaur Caves Park playground at 2701 Price Street.
Pismo Beach mayor, city manager and other officials will be in attendance for the 11 a.m. ceremony. The public is also invited and encouraged to attend.
“The new playground design will enhance the current park environment, while providing safe and challenging play and community building opportunities for residents and visitors alike” Pismo Beach Mayor Ed Waage said in a press release.
The Parks, Recreation and Beautification Commission and the Pismo Beach city council made it a priority to add more "active play" to the playground. Central Coast Playgrounds was contracted to execute that vision.
