Guadalupe driver falls asleep behind the wheel and crashes into a parked car

The man escaped with only minor injuries

The Guadalupe Fire Department was called out to a car accident early Friday morning. 

It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Second street and Obispo street.

Firefighters say the driver of the green Ford Escort told them he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the back of a parked car. 

They say the man was wearing his seatbelt and walked away from the crash with only minor injuries. 

The Guadalupe Fire Department is located near the intersection of Obispo street and Ninth street, just up the road from where the crash occured.
