SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a liquid asphalt leak in Santa Maria Saturday afternoon.
Between 40 and 50 barrels of liquid asphalt was released from a HazMat Inc. large tank at located at Greka Energy Plant at 1660 Sinton Road.
The leak has stopped and the asphalt has been contained to the location of where the leak was reported.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the leak is currently under investigation.
