Friday last day for 2018 fire victims to apply for Red Cross financial assistance

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - Friday is the final day for people affected by the 2018 wildfire season to apply for financial assistance from the American Red Cross.

The organization will continue to aid in recovery efforts by awarding grants to help people rebuild and repair their homes or businesses.

In order to register for Financial assistance in Ventura County, residents should call 211 or visit this website.

If you are outside of Ventura County you can call 1-800-339-9597.

For questions about existing 2018 California Wildfire assistance payment claims from Red Cross, you should call 1-800-REDCROSS.

To date, the American Red Cross has helped more than 10,000 households with more than $32 million in financial help.
