OJAI, Calif. - The Ventura County Sheriff's Office arrested three people in connection to multiple thefts throughout the Ojai Valley.
18-year-old Isaiah Avalos and 19-year-old Vincent Villa were arrested along with two 17-year-old male juveniles.
In the early hours of May 1, a man reported four to five people breaking into his vehicle on the 100 block of East El Camino Drive in Ojai. The victim described the suspects to Ventura County Sheriff's Deputies who realized who the suspects were and dispatched deputies to the homes of the suspects.
Two juveniles and Villa were found to be in possession of stolen items. One of the suspects cooperated and told deputies of other thefts. Eventually the three suspects were arrested. Later, deputies contacted Avalos and learned that he was also in possession of stolen items, including a $1,000 guitar.
Avalos was arrested and faces charges for felony theft and receiving stolen property as well as other misdemeanor charges.
Villa was arrested and faces charges for felony theft and receiving stolen property, conspiracy to commit a crime, grand theft from a vehicle and other misdemeanor charges.
One of the juveniles was booked into Juvenile Hall and faces felony theft and conspiracy to commit a crime charges as well as other misdemeanors.
The fourth teen was cited and released on a misdemeanor parole violation.
Ventura County Sheriff's Office wants to remind residents to be diligent when reporting crimes and always lock your vehicle and don't store your valuable in plain view.
