SLO Police Chief's personal vehicle stolen

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The personal car of San Luis Obispo Police Chief Deanna Cantrell was stolen Wednesday.

Cantrell confirmed it was stolen in Santa Margarita.

A few hours later, the vehicle was found north of Santa Margarita. A woman was found inside the vehicle and was arrested.

Cantrell has been under fire over the last two months after leaving her firearm in a San Luis Obispo restaurant bathroom. 

The police department is not expected to release further information about the incident.
