Santa Maria police looking for counterfeiting suspect

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a counterfeiting suspect.

According to officials, an unknown man used a counterfeit $100 bill to buy food at a restaurant on the 200 block of E. Betteravia Road just before 7:30 p.m. on March 31. 

The same man was also seen using another counterfeit $100 bill at a different business on the 600 block of E Betteravia Road on April 1.

The man was last seen walking eastbound on Auto Plaza Drive, but it is not known if he is associated with a vehicle.

The suspect is described as possibly a Hispanic or White male adult in his 40s, bald head with dark hair and dark eyes. 

He has a medium build and was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, jeans and a black watch on his left wrist.
