Port Hueneme man arrested on suspicion of selling stolen cars on Letgo app

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - A Port Hueneme man was arrested Monday, accused of selling stolen vehicles using a popular for-sale app.

Timothy White Peterson, 28, was arrested at 2 p.m. on the 3000 block of Johnson Drive in Ventura.

Peterson is accused of selling multiple vehicles stolen out of Ventura County to unsuspecting buyers throughout the area using the Letgo app. 

Peterson was located by the Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force and arrested without incident. He was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility and is being held on $50,000 bail.
