Lompoc woman accused of killing neighbor pleads not guilty in court
A Lompoc woman accused of killing her 74-year-old neighbor has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder.
Melissa Martin, 35, appeared in court on Tuesday to enter her plea.
Martin is accused of killing 74-year-old Eldri Jauch of Lompoc.
Jauch was reported missing under suspicious circumstances in June and her body was later found in Martin's apartment. Martin is accused of killing Jauch with a baseball bat.
Martin is due in court again on Octobber 22.
