LOMPOC, Calif. - Lompoc Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 26-year-old male.
Officers responded to the 700 block of North Third/Forth street at 3 a.m. after 911 calls reported hearing gunshots. Police found several small caliber shell casing in the alley but no other evidence of the shooting.
Officials say 30-minutes later, a male victim with a gunshot wound in the shoulder arrived at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. The man has only been identified as a 26-year-old Hispanic male. Police say he has provided few details about what happened. But he did say he was walking in the area heard gunshots and felt the shot hit his shoulder, according to police. The man also stated he did not see the person who fired the shot.
The extent of the mans injuries are not known.
