3 Oxnard teens arrested in connection to a carjacking involving a deadly weapon

SANTA PAULA, Calif. - Ventura County sheriff's deputies arrested three teens in connection to an alleged carjacking during the early morning hours on Friday in Santa Paula. 

At around 12:45 a.m., the Ventura County Sheriff's Communication Center received a 911 call from a man who had been stabbed and had his car stolen in the Steckel Park area. 

Deputies from the Fillmore and headquarters patrol stations responded to the area and quickly located the green Mazda sedan traveling southbound on Highway 150.

Deputies made an enforcement stop. The occupants inside the car were two female teenagers and one male teenager.

Evidence of the carjacking was found in the car in plain view, according to authorities. 

Deputies further investigated the incident and found that the three teens are suspected to have conspired to steal the victim's car.

The two female teens were arrested on suspicion of carjacking and conspiring to commit a crime and were taken to juvenile hall. 

The male teen was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, carjacking and conspiring to commit a crime. He was also taken to juvenile hall. 

The carjacking victim was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
