Luncheon celebrates elderly members of the Santa Maria community

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The City of Santa Maria held its 15th annual Celebration of Life luncheon on Wednesday. 

 It took place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.

The luncheon honors those who are at least 90 years old or about to turn 90 by December 31st of this year.

Each person was allowed to bring one guest to the event at no charge. 

A Patsy Cline impersonator was at the event this year.

The City of Santa Maria began the Celebration of Life Luncheon in 2004 during the City's Centennial Celebration.
