SYV CHARTER SCHOOL TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE

The Santa Ynez Valley Charter School, one of the highest rated Charter schools in California, is holding an open house to introduce potential students to the SYVCS middle school on March 18th, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

According to the Academic Performance Index, Santa Ynez Charter School surpasses close to 90% of the 10,000 public schools in academic performance of its students, placing SYVCS as one of the premier educational facilities in California.

Mrs. Colleen Million, the SYVC Director, stated this about the middle school program “Our Middle school teachers collaborate to create a supportive, innovative, and academically challenging educational environment. All students are nurtured and prepared for high school through strong curricular articulation. There is an emphasis on preparing students for successful and rewarding future by developing both academic and nonacademic skills.”

She goes on to say “Our school has a strong academic record for success, as is apparent by our API scores, due to an exceptional teaching staff and curriculum, small class sizes, parental involvement, and our emphasis on the student’s well rounded educational philosophy.

There is a rare opportunity for parents to involve their students in the SYVCS educational process at the Middle school level and we invite all parents and students interested in learning more about our program and our school to join us on March 18th.”
