The art of tile decoration has always been at the forefront of west coast culture. History is recorded and cultures evolve. An exciting step into the 21st century is being taken by Ventura artist, Kevin Cory. His unique tile art will be on display at The Goodland Gallery, Goleta CA for the month of July with the opening reception on July 10th.

A multi faceted person, he has enjoyed successful careers as a musician, songwriter, publisher, concert piano tuner, and entrepreneur. Combining all of his talents into his latest endeavor, Kevin uses his digital photography combined with a heat process to fuse high quality images permanently into ceramic and natural stone tiles.

His unique local coasters and murals have been enjoyed far and wide with their popularity reaching international attention. He is currently producing works and setting up a production studio in New Zealand and has offers from many other countries.

As Kevin states, "each tile contains a story, the story contains the soul, the soul exposes the heart."

The show opens Wednesday, July 1 thru Friday, July 31st.

I have several pieces of Mr. Cory's tile artwork. Each piece tells a story and holds special memories. Custom orders (family photos etc) can be placed. His local coasters and murals make great souvenirs for visiting family and friends..
