A day after the Jesusita fire in Santa Barbara started, the winds picked up and rejuvenated the flames, creating a huge plume of smoke being carried out over the ocean. Santa Cruz Island is visible in the lower right corner of the photo.

What a waste of money now. Officials were told about agoat company that does fire suppression and or lad/brush clearings. They responded by saying there were no funds and no grants, Joke. No grants if you do not apply for one!

Just to say my heart goes out to each and every one of the residents in Jesusita fire. I cant ever imagine having to live in fear of losing all of my belongings and home. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'd like to know the real story behind why the air tankers are no longer stationed out of SB Airport. I heard remors that SB City was charging them to much so they had to relocated.

What about the firefighters that have just been transferred to the Grossman burn center? Channel 9 is covering the story at the burn center but I havent' heard you mention this.
