We watched on live tv as john stood in front of our burning house..we recognized it instantly..all we got out were our cat and our photo albums with just the clothes on our back..today we hiked up to the house through peoples back yards jumped fences and through bushes since the police werent letting anyone up..we were glad to see john still in our driveway with the news van and devastated to see our house and all our things completely collapsed and destroyed..everyone has been really nice and we would like to thank john palminteri for the hugs and support he gave us today..this is all so surreal..i have 5 friends homes which burnt on mountain drive which their parents built by hand in the 70's..they only escaped with their lives and the animals, no time to grab anything..no photos, no clothes or treasures..we all just have our memories left and our lives...our prayers and thoughts go out to everyone else like us tonight without their homes or any of their belongings...god help us all.

We as a family live in Buellton, we dont have much, but we are a family that can definitly offer a good christian home to sleep and fellowship with our family. We can share meals and shelter, you mail email ,us if you like. lenitafromgoleta@yahoo.com

My brother lives on Coneo Rd > his home was completely destroyed too. He had about an hour to grab some things, but still lost so much that can never be replaced. He grew up in San Diego, where his family resides. My heart goes out to you!

Thank you all for your thoughts and generosity We appreciate it very much and like I said before our thoughts and hearts go out to everyone else that are devastated like us Its not the materialistic things its our pride that we worked so hard for

Julia, if you need photos of the inside of your house, I probably can provide that for you. Let me know, Sandra

My father lost his home on Camino Verde 30 years ago 2 fire in same area. He rebuilt it & has since passed away, but I've never forgot how devasting it was :( My prayers are with those experiencing the same now or again!

We, too, lived in 642 Las Alturas for six years (sold in 2004), the one John was standing in front of. We no longer live in S.B. We received this news where we now live, in Florida. I'm stunned to see this happen. My thoughts are with you.
