GOLETA, Calif. - A trailer and a flatbed were destroyed early Sunday morning in a fire at a Goleta auto body shop.
The fire occurred at around 4:30 a.m. at National Auto Body & Paint at 879 S. Kellogg Ave.
Santa Barbara County Fire arrived on scene with a full structure response.
Firefighters found a fifth wheel trailer that was fully engulfed on the auto body lot.
Flames had spread to a flat bed truck that was parked next to the trailer. Santa Barbara County Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni said the flatbed trailer was loaded with material and belongings.
Fire crews put out the flames but both the trailer and the flatbed received major damage and their contents were destroyed.
No fire personnel were injured while fighting the fire, but one employee of National Auto Body & Paint suffered a minor burn on his hand while attempting to put out the fire. He was treated on scene and released.
The fire was contained to the two vehicles and there was no damage to any nearby structures.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
