SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - This Thursday marks the 50th anniversary of the largest recorded earthquake in U.S. history: the Great Alaska Earthquake and Tsunamis.
It's a reminder for us to make sure we are prepared in the event a tsunami threatens the California coast.
This week is the annual National Tsunami Preparedness Week and it's important to review evacuation routes near your home and work.
