2.9-magnitude earthquake strikes Los Olivos area

LOS OLIVOS, Calif. - A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck about five miles northwest of Los Olivos Thursday evening.

The temblor was initially recorded as a 2.8-magnitude earthquake by the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of approximately one mile, according to the USGS.

No injuries were reported as a result of the earthquake, which struck at about 5:37 p.m.
