SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Injuries were reported Friday afternoon in a three car crash at the corner of Castillo and Arrellaga streets in Santa Barbara.

The Santa Barbara City Fire Department, police and AMR were on the scene with multiple units.

One serious injury occurred and a man was taken to Cottage Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries were not known.

A woman involved in the collision was also transported with a minor injury. A man who was checked by paramedics declined to be taken to the hospital.

The crash occurred on Castillo Street, which is a one-way street. Two sedans and a pickup truck were involved in what appeared to be a three-vehicle rear ender at the stop sign.

The fire department had to use special absorbent materials as part of the clean up due to fluids leaking from the vehicles.

The cause of the crash is under investigation
