Identities released in double fatal motorcycle crash


On Tuesday, California Highway Patrol officials released the identity of the two people killed in the crash.

Raymond Lee Ryals, age 84 of Arroyo Grande was driving the motorcycle when it crashed.

His passenger, Solrun Cammarta, age 77 of Thousand Oaks died in the crash as well.  


A man and a woman were killed Sunday morning after a motorcycle crash on US 101 near Buellton.

At around 8:30 a.m., emergency crews found a three-wheel motorcycle crash on Highway 101 about a mile south of the Highway 154 interchange.

A man believed to be in his 50's was thrown from the motorcycle and into the center guard rail and died on scene. He was believed to be the driver of the motorcycle.

A woman, believed to be the passenger, was thrown from the motorcycle and into traffic and was struck by a vehicle.

The motorcycle was located upright about 100 yards away.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Coroner responded to the scene. California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

The identities of the man and woman killed will be released pending notification of next of kin.
