SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - A two-car crash on Highway 154 near Painted Cave Road Tuesday afternoon is currently blocking most lanes of traffic.
The crash was reported by California Highway Patrol at about 4:30 p.m. and involved a white Honda CR-V and a Ford Ranger pickup truck in an area of Highway 154 known as Windy Gap.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson Mike Eliason said the drivers of both vehicles suffered minor to moderate injuries. A passenger in the CR-V suffered major injuries. All were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Eliason said the pickup was driving westbound on Highway 154 when it crashed into the CR-V driving in the opposite direction. The collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
Traffic on Highway 154 was reduced to one lane. Motorists should expect major delays.
