GUADALUPE, Calif. - Santa Barbara County emergency personnel responded to the scene of a violent crash involving one vehicle just outside Guadalupe Monday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol log, a gray Chevrolet Silverado crashed into a railroad crossing arm and sheared a pole off just before 5 p.m. near Brown Road and W. Betteravia Road.

A Verizon cable pole and the railroad crossing arm were severely damaged.
