LONG BEACH, Calif. -

Finally the Gauchos have a day at the beach. Michael Bryson's put-back at the buzzer gave UCSB a 65-64 win at Long Beach State. The win pulls the Gauchos into a tie for first place in the Big West Conference with UC Irvine at 7-2.

Trailing by one, Alan Williams missed a jump hook but Bryson grabbed the rebound and put it in as the buzzer went off as UCSB improves to 16-6 on the year.

The Gauchos had lost their last five games at Long Beach State and has lost a share of last second games to the 49ers.

Williams had a game-high 16 points while Bryson added 15.

UCSB led by as many as 13 points in the second half before the 49ers stormed back only to lose on Bryson's put-back.
