UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Sources tell KEYT Sports that Louis Reynaud will be the top assistant coach under new UCSB head basketball coach Joe Pasternack.
Reynaud has been an associate head coach at Rice University and Cal. His most recent job was as a special assistant at the University of Houston.
In the mid 1990's he was the head boys basketball coach at De La Salle High School.
ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported that David Miller will be UCSB's Director of Basketball Operations. He comes from Alabama where he was the video coordinator. Miller's dad Dave has been an assistant coach at the college and NBA level and was recently a studio analyst for the Lakers TWC Sportsnet.
Joe Pasternack is also hard at work at trying to get players.
Rice graduate transfer Marcus Jackson will visit UCSB this weekend. The 6'3 guard averaged over double-figures in points last year for the Owls.
Pasternack has also offered at least two scholarships to high school players.
6'10 Myles Johnson from Long Beach Poly is a senior while 6'8 junior Mason Forbes is a junior out of Folsom High School.
Joe Pasternack was introduced as UCSB head coach on April 4.
