SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Lucky seven for Santa Barbara High School. The Dons used five hits, three hit batters and a San Marcos error to score seven times in the first inning in a 9-5 win at Eddie Mathews Field.

Jeff Paschke had three hits including a solo home run in the second inning as the Dons improved to 8-2 in the Channel League. Santa Barbara remains one game behind Dos Pueblos in the league race as the Chargers held on to win at Ventura 5-4. The two teams meet twice next week to finish off the regular season.
