SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Tyler Gilbert was perfect through five innings and that helped Santa Barbara City College remain perfect on the season. Behind Gilbert's seven terrific innings and a state-leading offense that put up double-digit runs again, SBCC extended their school-record start to 10-0 by beating East L.A. 11-6.

Gilbert allowed just one run and struck out nine. The offensive heroes were Jimmy Brakka and Trey Barrett as they each drove in three runs.
