His best finish was second place in Portugal as he was just edge out by eventual tour champion John John Florence.

Coffin is healing a recent knee injury but should be ready to roll on March 14 when the new season begins in Australia.

Conner has been surfing with his entire family since he was four years old. They would often hit the water before Conner headed off to Montecito Union School and then Santa Barbara Junior High.

Conner's younger brother Parker is a pro surfer as well. Conner's dream is to have Parker join him on the top tour in the near future.
