Santa Barbara Dons star hoop player Cassandra Gordon commits to Georgetown

Gordon verbally commits to Georgetown

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Cassandra Gordon has said yes to Georgetown University.

The Santa Barbara High School senior basketball star verbally committed to the Hoyas on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 on her visit to the school.

As a junior for the Dons last year, Gordon scored 15.5 points per game. The 5'10 Gordon has an all-around game as she averaged 3.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds per contest.

Gordon was an All-CIF selection last year in division 1-AA.

She will be the 26th Dons player to play at a division one college under veteran head coach Andrew Butcher.

In addition to Georgetown, Gordon was recruited by UCSB, St. John's, Long Beach State, Hawaii and UC Davis.
