REDLANDS, Calif. -

Jeff Paschke knocked in three runs in the final two innings with two doubles as Santa Barbara scored five late runs to stun Redlands High School 6-3 in a first round CIF Division II playoff game.

Trailing 3-1 in the top of the sixth, Paschke unloaded a booming double to right that plated Toby Minehan and Johnny Brontsema to tie the game at 3. Tyler Newman knocked in Paschke as the Dons grabbed a 4-3 lead.

Paschke also doubled in Minehan in the seventh inning.

The USC-bound senior Paschke also pitched five effective innings to get the victory as the Dons advance to host La Mirada in a second round contest on Tuesday at Eddie Mathews Field.
