America's Team might go international next season.
The Dallas Cowboys are the top contender to play a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London's Wembley Stadium in 2014, according to ESPN.com. Adam Schefter reported an announcement could come as soon as Thursday.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said previously he would not give up a home date to play overseas. However, the game against the Jaguars would satisfy that condition, as Jacksonville previously agreed to play one "home game" a year in London for four years.
The Jaguars will be the designated home team for a game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Wembley.
According to Schefter, the NFL wants to ensures a marquee team travels to London next year to meet the Jaguars, who are currently 0-7.
The NFL will stage three games at Wembley in 2014, with the Oakland Raiders, the Atlanta Falcons and the Jaguars serving as the home teams.
