The top five teams in the Associated Press top 25 poll, released Sunday, remained the same, including Alabama still holding the No. 1 spot.
Alabama (5-0) received 55 of 60 first-place votes a day after defeating Georgia State 45-3 Saturday.
No. 2 Oregon, also 5-0, picked up the remaining top votes after beating Colorado 57-16.
Clemson (5-0), Ohio State (6-0) and Stanford (5-0) made up the rest of the top five.
Florida State climbed from eighth to No. 6 after an impressive 63-0 shutout of previous-No. 25 Maryland.
The Seminoles moved ahead of Georgia, which edged unranked Tennessee 34-31 in overtime without running back Todd Gurley. They also lost running back Keith Marshall to a knee injury in the first quarter.
Georgia (4-1) fell from sixth to No. 7.
Arizona State, Ole Miss and Maryland fell out of the top 25 and were replaced by No. 23 Northern Illinois, No. 24 Virginia Tech and No. 25 Missouri.
