Santa Barbara, Calif. -

Cal Poly has announced that Chris brown will be the starting quarterback in Saturdays game against Colorado State.

Junior Vince Moraga was named the starter before the season kicked off after beating out four guys for the job. He had a successful start in the opener against San Diego, but suffered an injury during the Fresno State game.

With five minutes left in the third quarter, Moraga took a hard hit from Bulldogs safety Dalen Jones. Moraga limped off the field and didn't return for the rest of the game. He will undergo an MRI this week examining his right knee and hoping that it is not a torn ACL.

Meanwhile third-string quarterback Chris Brown entered the game and the Mustangs some hope. He completed 9 of 15 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown throwing up 25 points against the Bulldogs. Backup quarterback Dano Graves didn't make the trip due to an injury.
