Big 2nd Quarter Leads Ventura Over Santa Barbara

A 14-0 run in the second quarter broke up a close game and helped Ventura defeat Santa Barbara 56-31 in a boys basketball game in the Channel League.

The Dons led 18-16 before Ventura's scoring run gave the Cougars a 30-18 lead. They led 32-20 at the half. Nick Rudolph scored a game-high 19 points as the first place Cougars improve to 4-0 in league, the Dons fall to 2-2.
