This is no weekend warrior league. The Ventura County Sabers are a minor league football team that is getting ready for it's third season and first in the Wild West Football League.

The WWFL has 18 teams in California, Arizona and Nevada. The Sabers first game is August 21, a road game at Victorville. They will play their first home game on September 11 at 7p.m. at Nordhoff High School in Ojai.
