Silva Is Highest MLS Draft Pick In History Of UCSB Soccer

UCSB Soccer stars Luis Silva and Sam Garza were taken early in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Silva became the Gauchos highest draft pick ever when Toronto FC selected him with the fourth pick. He will join former Gauchos Andy Iro and Eric Avila north of the border.

Garza was taken sixth by the San Jose Earthquakes. Silva led UCSB with 17 goals and 10 assists this past season.
