Cabrillo is off and running in high school football as they used over 300 rushing yards to dominate San Marcos 28-6 at Valley Stadium in the season opener for both teams. The Conquistadors had four running backs who each topped 50 yards on the ground.

San Marcos scored on an 84-yard kickoff return by Randee Harvey late in the second quarter.
