UCSB Ends 3-Game Losing Streak With One Point Win

In a season where UCSB has lost several close games, the bounces finally went UCSB's way. Orlando Johnson's game-winning 3-pointer with 5 seconds left gave the Gauchos a 58-57 win over Cal Poly in a Big West opener for both schools. Johnson, who made just 4 of 14 shots, got 3 friendly bounces on his game-winner. Freshman Alan Williams led the Gauchos with 13 points and 10 rebounds as they improved to 6-5. Bob Williams became the winningest coach in school history with his 223rd victory.
